The first test of the series will begin on Feb 1st, at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg followed by the second test at the bowling paradise Newlands, Cape Town on Feb 14. The third and the final test will start on Feb 22 at the SuperSport Park, Centurion.

The longer format of the game will be followed by the shortest format and the first of the two T20 Internationals will be played at Kingsmead, Durban on Mar 1st. This is a day night match and starts at 16:00 GMT. The second and last T20 of the series will be played at SuperSport Park, Centurion at which both the teams have played their last test match.

First of the five One day international matches will be played at Chevrolet Park, Bloemfontein on Mar 10. The second ODI is scheduled at SuperSports Park, Centurion on 15th of March and the third ODI will be played at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg on Mar 17. Last two ODIs are scheduled to be played at Kingsmead, Durban and Willowmoore Park, Benoni on Mar 21st and 24th respectively.

With South Africa, retaining the number 1 rank in the test matches, and looks to stabilize the ranking with a win against NZ. It would be a tougher job ahead for Pakistan which has the younger team compared to the opposition and there are not more players who have played in SA earlier.

Pakistan will try not to get the victory against India to their head and work hard to repeat the same in South Africa. They knew that it’s going to be a tougher one than the recently concluded series against India. I would also like to see the likes of Junaid Khan and Nasir Jamshed added to the test squad and given a chance to prove their worth in the longer formats of the game.
