This time around in 2013, the Champions Trophy will be played for the first time under the most modern rules of the game. With the changes made to the game, it has become ever more exciting and this is going to be the real charm for the 2013 event.

When we have a look at the two groups of the tournament, Group A looks more stronger than Group B. England, Australia, Sri Lanka and New Zealand are the teams that are placed in this group and all these look to be very competitive and we can expect exciting matches from this group. Australia/England rivalry will be kept alive and we’ll see them meet on the 8th of June in the 3rd game of the tournament. Group B on the other hand is a bit easy group when compared to the other one. West Indies in this group seems to be the weaker team but, nevertheless, Pakistan, India and South Africa are all tough sides that can be devastating on their day and can fight till the last ball of the game. This group will keep the Pakistan/India rivalry alive and both the sides will take on each other on 15th of June in the 3rd last game of the league stage.

Will definitely see some nail biting finishes and the exciting games of cricket with quality displays both with the bat as well as the ball. The time is ticking and with every passing second sheer excitement is approaching us. So, let’s wait for the action and let the action begin on 6th of June. Whoever will be the champion this time around, the tournament will be full of excitement and thrill.
