This is the fourth match of the triangular series where India and Australia will face each other in Adelaide. Australia has already secured two wins at Melbourne and Perth. Although their second match with Sri Lanka was very tough for them but still the charm of continuous victories is still polishing their confidence.
India has been through the most misfortunate period. Their pride that knew no bounds after winning the world cup is injured to the core. All the efforts to tame the Aussies have proved fruitless. The Daemons of defeat are haunting them again and again despite their best efforts. Many critics are inclined to the view that some of the senior players of the team should spare their seats for youngsters. Pakistan has already shown the worth of incalcating young blood and replacing the old idols with the new blood. India will have to adopt the same strategy, but no one knows when.
Australia has already won the first match against India with a distinctive margin of 65 runs. Many people have now started pointing fingers towards Ricky Ponting who is unable to show his worth in consecutive matches. All the other batsmen are overall doing well. Their bowling attack has been very promising during this series. Clint Mckay who did the damage to Indian batting in the first match by picking up four wickets will again be a menace for india. They have managed to win against Sri Lanka because all of their bowlers contributed to the effort. This is what they are capable of doing in the whole season and also this is the point where India fails to deliver.
Australia have rested Michael Hussey and Peter Forrest will probably take his place. Chances are that Mitchell Marsh may replace Ben Hilfenhaus in the match. There is the likelihood that Sachin will be rested for this match. If we look at the Adelaide pitch, we may hope that Rahul Sharma may be included in the team today.
